My Smiley Boy
Finally Chris and I have been getting some cute smiles from Nicholas!
He’s usually in a very smiley mood in the morning, after a nap or after a feed. He started smiling at Chris as they were "chatting" and i grabbed the camera and got a few shots…
Also when i sing to him, the nursery rhyme "Incy Wincy Spider", he cracks a huge smile also! I think that may be his favourite nursery rhyme! He likes "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" also but thats saved for bedtime. Puts him to sleep like a charm!

Nicholas’ Arrival
My birth story…
Well this is exactly 3 weeks and 2 days overdue, but I’m sure you’ll forgive me as being a new mum has left me with less free time than i imagined! That whole "sleep when the baby’s sleeping" theory isn’t as easy to implement as it sounds!
So here’s the story of how my little Nicholas came into this world:

A cute photo
Nicholas had a bath last night as we had to soak the plaster off his legs for his physio appointment today. I snapped this cute pic of him as he was drying off:
Nicholas’ 2 week update
Hi Everyone, ive been really slack not posting up my birth story yet but thought i’d update you on Nicholas’ first 2 weeks.
After 6 days in hospital (3 days of standard stay and another 3 days kept in for progressive Jaundice tests) we were finally allowed to come home. It felt like i’d been away for 6 weeks! They were testing Nicholas for Jaundice and monitoring it as he was borderline normal-high and wasnt quite in need of the blue light therapy - they wanted to make sure the levels dropped naturally (through the bowel movements)
On the way home in the car the nurse phoned me with the last test results and said he was in the clear and the paediatrician was happy with his results - no UV therapy needed!
So, at two weeks he’s pretty much just an eating, sleeping, pooping machine. He pulls some funny faces and makes the cutest little cat-like noises when he’s sleeping and does these HUGE full body streches after a feed - picture arched back, eyes closed, both fists up in the air and a very drunk look on his face. I am breastfeeding him and express a few feeds so that his Daddy can feed him too if im tired or if we have people over.
