Nicholas’ 3 month update
Nicholas was 3 months old on the 21st of Dec. He had his first Christmas with the family at Avoca Beach and got lots of toys and clothes from Santa and the family.
He was very well behaved at Avoca and enjoyed the company of his Grandparents, great-grandparents, uncles, aunties and visitors. He’s become quite a social and chatty fellow and has become increasingly vocal after spending 10 days away with everyone paying him oodles of attention.
He can now grab toys with his hands and sometimes my hair (favourite trick is removing the dummy from his mouth - then getting frustrated when he can’t get it back in!), loves to smile and kick his legs and has just given us all his first laugh.
He giggles whenever Chris or I blow raspberries on his neck- its music to our ears!He had his plaster casts removed after his operation on the 4th of Jan and we are very pleased with the results. And Nicholas is thouroughly enjoying being cast-free.
He kicks his legs at a million miles per hour and lifts them both up to examine his shins or socks. He must be wondering where those huge white casts have gone!
We have to do some daytime streches with his feet and he will wear a boots and bar contraption (looks like a snowboard) for over a year to help the muscles lengthen.Overall, we’ve had a wonderful festive holiday and can’t wait till next year when we can take Nicholas to the beach and let him play in the sand!
