New Tricks

Yayyyy Nicholas can sit up unsupported now! Clever boy! He also gets up on all fours from his tummy and rocks back and forth. He isnt crawling yet but moves by drawing both knees in and then moving his arms out- like a caterpillar! He likes inching his way towards the windows and playing wit the blinds when im not looking.

Feed Time

When his tummy’s full he clamps his lips shut and tries to take off his bib. I usually manage to sneakin a few more mouthfulls by making him laugh or tickling him. Sometimes this backfires and i end up with mashed food all over me!

Mans best friend

Nicholas has also taken more notice of our dog Buster. He watches the dog walk across the room and if he;s close, Nicholas sticks an arm or leg out to try and touch him. I let him pat the dog sometimes and Nicholas gets very excited and squeals. Buster is very patient and likes the pats and occasional pinches. They get along very well. Nicholas giggles when Buster sniffs him and he’s managed to grab his whiskers once… i think Buster is learning to keep away from his hands!

Once a week Nicholas and I get together with some friends of ours. The babies, play, eat and sleep together. Sometimes if the Mums are really organised they all go down for a nap at the same time! Bliss!!

The Mums usually chat about the strange things their babies do, try to watch Oprah and eat a yummy lunch (usually followed by a naughty dessert!)

TEETH!!

Nicholas has got his first 2 teeth!! The bottom two front teeth fially emerged on March the 4th. They are very sharp little things! Gone are my cute gummy smiles!

Chatterbox

He loves to babble now "Bababababa" and Chris thinks he’s saying "Baba" (greek for Father) to him. So ive been saying "Ma ma ma ma" all week but its just not catching on!

Gobble Guts

Nicholas loves to eat custard- its his favourite food. He sees the yellow heinz tin and his eyes light up! He also loves his weetbix in the morning and for lunch its either pumpkin, chicken and vegies or mashed potato.

Computer Geek

He’s noticing Chris on the computer now and loves to have a bash on the keyboard and push the mouse around. He’s very observant and smashes the keys then looks up at the screen as if he’s just typed something! I think we have another computer geek on our hands… poor kid, he had no choice really!
